Why the Starfish???

There is an old story about a young boy at the beach. He was going along the beach picking up starfish and throwing them back into the ocean in order to save them.

A man happened along and asked the boy what he was doing. The boy replied: “I am tossing these starfish back into the ocean where they belong.”
The man was startled. “Don't you see how many starfish there are on this beach? There's just no way you can help them all. You are just wasting your time.”
The little boy bent down and picked up another starfish and tossed it into the ocean. Then he turned to the man and said: "Helped that starfish."

Enlightened entrepreneurs help others whenever and wherever they can. They are not deterred by the magnitude of the challenge. Like the boy with the starfish, they see each separate opportunity to assist others, do the right thing, etc. as worthwhile in and of itself.

That's why we have chosen the starfish as our symbol at ICEE. We are looking for entrepreneurs who see the benefit in assisting every starfish they can.
